By accessing or using Skillbrew ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to comply with these terms. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Accounts

You sign in using GitHub or Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your linked accounts. You may not use another person's account without permission. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Content Guidelines

When submitting content (items, reviews, comments, collections), you agree to:

  • Only submit content you have the right to share
  • Not submit malicious, harmful, or deceptive content
  • Not submit spam or duplicate content
  • Accurately describe your submissions
  • Respect the intellectual property rights of others

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines and to suspend accounts of repeat offenders.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you submit to Skillbrew. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the platform. This license ends when you delete your content.

The Skillbrew name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property and may not be used without permission.

5. Payments and Marketplace

Paid items are processed through Stripe. When you purchase an item:

  • Prices are displayed in USD
  • All sales are subject to our refund policy
  • We charge a platform fee on each transaction

If you sell items on the marketplace:

  • You must connect a Stripe account to receive payouts
  • You are responsible for applicable taxes on your earnings
  • We reserve the right to hold or reverse payouts for fraudulent transactions

6. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Scrape or crawl the Service without permission
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Impersonate other users or entities

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Content you submitted may be retained or removed at our discretion.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. We are not responsible for the content submitted by users.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skillbrew shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
